Here's the story
On May 13th, 2014, BoySam asked GirlSam to take the day off to go to the Lilac Festival. BoySam thought she wouldn’t think much of it, seeing as how they go to the Lilac Festival every year, even though it was the middle of the week (BoySam’s boss is pretty flexible). For the entire month prior, BoySam left a single post-it note somewhere for GirlSam to find that day . One in her book, one on the mirror, one in her lunch, one in the car. But the day-of, GirlSam was called into work. Worse, the weather called for cloudy with a chance of rain. GirlSam reassured him the day was not ruined- they would head to the festival the moment she gets out of work!
It turned out to be a beautiful day. Warm, no clouds, Artichoke French and a nap in the park. After their day at the festival, they headed to Webster to eat at their favorite date-night restaurant, Proietti’s. Despite being a Tuesday, the restaurant was packed. BoySam could barely eat, to the point where GirlSam asked if he was okay. Of course he was! Dinner was great, and they patiently waited for the check.
And waited.
And waited. Until the waitress brought out a Cannoli, with a post-it note reading “Will you marry me?” BoySam got down on one knee, said a small speech neither of them can remember, and she said “yes!”
It wasn't over yet though. When they finally got home, GirlSam discovered upon walking in the house, one thousand post-it notes all over the ceiling and walls. Without GirlSam being called in that morning, BoySam wouldn’t been able to set up the Cannoli at Proietti’s or the final surprise post-it notes.
